I first started doing martial arts at the age of 12.
But after getting beaten up and feeling completely helpless to defend myself – I realized that I had not been prepared for self-defense.
After this disappointing realization, I tried other forms of martial arts including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Muay Thai – training both at home, and in Thailand.
I later went on to work for the UFC Gym where I helped numerous people sign up and begin learning martial arts for themselves.
While I worked for the UFC Gym I witnessed how martial arts can go far beyond the physical benefits.
On a daily basis, I saw people turn to martial arts for both self-defense and to improve their mental wellbeing with increased confidence and courage.
Now, I believe true martial arts are a powerful tool in the fight for physical and mental resilience.
This is why I decided to share what I’ve learned over the years, so it can help you too.
